Children’s Ministry

I have the great privilege of ministering to the children of Chaparral alongside a wonderful and dedicated group of teachers and caregivers.

I have a terrific husband, Frank, to whom I have been married for 19 years. We met at Purdue University where he graduated in Aerospace Engineering and I in Psychology. We married and moved to California where Frank was an engineer at Hughes Aircraft Company and I worked for an advertising agency. It was here that Frank felt that God was calling him into ministry. We moved to Georgia and began trying to find where God wanted us. Frank began taking classes at Atlanta Christian College, worked with our youth group and became a deacon at our church. While there we decided to leave Georgia so Frank could attend seminary. We were in Tennessee for 3 years where Frank began his first ministry and his Master of Divinity. After 3 years, our church in Georgia asked Frank to begin a ministry there as the Adult Education Minister. Frank also earned a Masters of Theology at Emory University as well as his Doctorate (ABD) in Historical Linguistics at University of Georgia. During this time, our 3 wonderful children were born! Abigail, Jacob and Luke have been a delight to us.

My ministry began in 2004 when I was called to help lead the youth here at Chaparral. It was not something I had expected, but was excited to serve Christ in this manner. Later, while I was overseeing both the children and youth ministries, I realized that Chaparral would be better served with my focus on one ministry. At that time, I chose to center my ministry on the children and continue to love every minute!
